The Chiefs retain the architect of success

The Kansas City Chiefs have extended the contract with head coach Andy Reid and have also retained other key figures of their success.

Without specifying a time period, the Super Bowl winner announced on Monday that the extension with Reid, President Mark Donovan and General Manager Brett Veach would ensure the “leadership of the team in the long term”.

The Chiefs around quarterback Patrick Mahomes won their third Super Bowl in the past five years in February. If they win again next season, it would be the first time in National Football League history that a team has won the championship three years in a row.
