Raiffeisen Beachcup: The starting signal has been given

The Raiffeisen Beach Cup 2024 got off to a great start and the beach volleyball fans in our region were not far behind. This year the first stage was reserved for athletes in the U16 category, with 35 couples taking part. Thanks to the excellent organization of SV Lana, participants, fans and their families were able to experience a day with lots of sport and fun.

In the U16W category, Hilber Eva and Fumanelli Mara topped the podium after defeating their opponents Obletter Lena and Brugger Romy (15:12/12:15/11:09) 2-1. The final for third place went to Irsara Lena and Valentini Nadine, who defeated Kob Anna and Fracaro Eva 2-0 (15:07/15:05).

In the U16M category, the final went to Martinelli Emil and Kofler Lee Alexander, who won 2-0 against Canepa Luca and Stuppner Moritz. (21:18/21:19). On the third step of the podium came Guerra Matteo Tobias and Mutschlechner Jakob, who defeated Götsch Manuel and Weiss Alexander 2-0 (15:11/15:13).

This was just the first warm-up phase, now we continue with the usual meeting in Tramin. The date is June 15th and 16th. The men's, women's and U14M/W categories will start on Saturday. On Sunday it will be the turn of the U12 and U16M/W categories.
