These are the best U14 volleyball players in South Tyrol

Nerves played tricks on many U14 players at the CONI gymnasium in Brixen. Those who had expected the St. Jakob final against SSV Brixen were soon disabused of their expectations.

St. Jakob lost 1-3 to SSV Bozen in the semifinals, and Lana defeated Brixen 4-8 in a tiebreak (after trailing 15-9). In the "duel of the disappointed," Brixen secured third place with a 2-1 victory against St. Jakob.

The U14 final, in front of a strong crowd, was primarily a showcase for Anna Kritzinger. The blonde from SSV Bozen scored many points in attack, defended, received confidently, and served strongly. She was clearly the dominant player in her team and was well supported by her courageous and attentive teammates.

Exciting U14 finals The decisive second set, which went to SSV Bozen 26:24, was a decisive factor, taking the wind out of Lana's sails somewhat. But Lana can also be happy with this second place. Something truly great is happening at the Burgraviato club – the coaches are doing a great job.

The powerful Kritzinger was rightfully chosen as the MVP, or best player of the final round, by all eight coaches in the final round. Rarely before has a player made such a difference. SSV Bozen will now participate in the U27 Italian Championship in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Latisana from May 1 to June 14.

South Tyrol's national team coach Michele Brembilla was impressed by several of the U14 players. The eight clubs present have potential and certainly have a few B players of the future. Kritzinger was also named best outside attacker.

The top seven were: Alejandra Natalie Egger, Marie Hafner, Greta Parth (all SV Lana), Vanessa Ugolini, Aivie Giovanoli (both SSV Brixen), Veronica Bassanetti (SSV Bozen).

These are the best U14 volleyball players in South Tyrol

From October to April, St. Jakob and Brixen dominated the U14 girls' competition in this country. But in the playoffs, SSV Bozen struck, winning the final in Brixen 3-0 against SV Lana.
