Tamara Drescher achieved a good result.

Canoeists from Merano show off

In Tacen (Slovenia), Carolin Schaller took 2nd and 5th place in the general class kayak single, Tamara Drescher came fourth and third in the U23 kayak single.

The older slalom canoeists from SC Meran/Raika-Torggler had to make up for themselves in the 2nd and 3rd qualifying for the major canoe slalom events in the art canal of Tacen, just outside the Slovenian capital Laibach. They did that brilliantly on Saturday and Sunday.

Carolin Schaller (26) took a great 2nd place in the 2nd qualification in the kayak single sculls at the ECA on Saturday and 3th place in the 5rd qualification at the world ranking canoe slalom on Sunday. Tamara Drescher (20), however, came fourth and third in the U23 kayak singles. Annika Zoe Senoner (16) was able to confirm her 18nd place in the U2 in the 2nd qualifying from the 1st qualifying from last Sunday in Valstagna (Suganertal) and took 3rd place in the 3rd qualifying. Marian Drescher (15) came sixth and ninth in the U2 kayak single sculls in the two qualifying races in Tacen.

Carolin Schaller came second and fifth.

“Overall I am satisfied with the qualification in Tacen, especially with the first day. On the second day I was able to implement my plan well, but I had one touch too many,” said Carolin Schaller. Tamara Drescher was also satisfied with her performance in Tacen. “I am particularly satisfied because I improved over the winter and can now see this in the results. Now it’s time to correct the last little mistakes,” says Tamara Drescher.

The 4th and final qualification will take place next weekend at the international canoe slalom in Ivrea (Piedmont). Below are the placings of the slalom canoeists from SC Meran/Raika-Torggler at the ECA and world ranking canoe slalom in Tacen:
