Annika Zoe Senoner shows off

The slalom canoeist from Merano won two races in the U18 kayak singles category at the ECA Junior Cup in Solkan, Slovenia.

The junior slalom canoeists of the SC Meran/Raika-Torggler continue to cause a sensation. Annika Zoe Senoner (16) in particular continues to show her great talent in canoe slalom, but also her brother Lars Aaron (15), who competes in two boat classes in his age group, the single kayak and the single canoe, and Sara Furlan. All three weave their way through the slalom gates with a lot of acrobatics and are very fast.

Annika Zoe Senoner was particularly successful at the ECA Junior Cup in Solkan. The SCM canoeist won both races in the U18 kayak singles in Solkan and was also the overall winner in her boat class. After her three victories and second place in international canoe slalom races, Annika Zoe Senoner could even have secured a ticket for the U3 Canoe Slalom European Championships from August 2 to 18 in Krakow (Poland). "I am very proud to have won double gold in Solkan. Now I am concentrating on preparing for the next ECA Cups and of course hope to be at the top there again," says Annika Zoe Senoner.

Her club colleague Sara Furlan was unable to win the U16 kayak singles in the Solkan artificial canal, but was happy with her placings. She came fourth on Saturday, third on Sunday and third overall. "I'm very happy with my results. My competition was very strong, which is why I didn't expect my placing," said Sara Furlan, analyzing her races.

Lars Aaron Senoner competed in the U16 single kayak and single canoe events in Solkan on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday he was third on the podium in the single canoe. In the U16 single kayak, 9th place was his best placing. "After the successful races in Flattach, I had high expectations for these races in Solkan. Unfortunately, I didn't make any mistakes in any of my runs. In the single canoe, I came third on the podium on Saturday," said a delighted Lars Aaron Senoner.
