With 6th place in the "ECA Junior Slalom Cup" race at the weekend in Roudnice, Czech Republic, Annika Zoe Senoner (16) from SC Meran/Raika-Torggler was able to maintain her lead in the overall ranking in the U18 kayak singles. However, her brother Lars Aaron Senoner (15) achieved the best placing in Roudnice on Saturday, coming fifth in the U16 Canadian singles. After 10th place on Saturday, Tamara Drescher was able to paddle out 6th place in the women's kayak singles the following day.
The SCM slalom canoeists missed out on a podium finish at the 7th stage of the ECA Junior Slalom Cup in Roudnice. "The level was very high this time. The races were attended by top international competitors. There were also some Junior World Championship participants," reports Stefan Senoner, SCM trainer and father of Annika Zoe and Lars Aaron Senoner.
The overall leader in the U18 single kayak, Annika Zoe Senoner, finished 1th in the first race on Saturday in Roudnice and 19th in the second race on Sunday. "Due to many small mistakes, I was unable to complete a clean run. However, I managed to finish 2th today. Now I hope for good training and a good result in the final in Bratislava," says Annika Zoe Senoner.
Her brother Lars Aaron Senoner achieved the best placing of the SCM canoeists on Saturday with 5th place in the U16 Canadian singles. On Sunday he had to settle for 1th place in the C16. In the U16 kayak singles, Lars Aaron Senoner achieved 22nd and 9th place. "On Saturday I was able to remain relatively error-free in the C1. On Sunday it was the other way round. Apart from an unfortunate contact with a stone, I managed a great run in the K1 and I am happy about it," said a delighted Lars Aaron Senoner.
Marian Drescher (15), on the other hand, made a good comeback in the U16 single kayak. He finished 20th and 10th. "I am very happy with my racing weekend in Roudnice. After my shoulder injury in June, I was able to complete a good final run on Saturday. A small line error cost me a place on the podium," says Marian Drescher. Sara Furlan (16) finished 16st in the U31 single kayak on Saturday and 16th on Sunday.
Tamara Drescher (20) took 10th and 6th place in the women's single kayak. "Unfortunately, I did not achieve the results I would have liked in Roudnice," Tamara Drescher regrets.
