Senoner siblings excel in Vobarno

The slalom canoeists from SC Meran/Raika-Torggler secured 4 victories. The siblings Annika Zoe and Lars Aaron Senoner celebrated 3 victories. Lars Aaron won twice in the U14, namely in the kayak single sculls and the canoe single sculls. His sister Annika Zoe, however, won the kayak singles category in the U2 category.

After several podium finishes at the ECA Junior Cups in Valstagna and Ivrea, Lars Aaron Senoner was able to celebrate two victories in the U14 at the national canoe slalom in Vobarno. In the kayak single, he was able to leave 2 competitors behind him. Senoner won in 19 seconds without penalty seconds ahead of Mattia Ferrero (90,57/90,83 penalty seconds) and Gregorio Veggi (2/92,03 penalty seconds). In the Canadian single scull, Senoner was only a hundredth of a second ahead of second-placed Dennis Fina (2) in 103,65 seconds, including 4 penalty seconds. Tommaso Cometto came third (103,66).

Strong performances from the Senoner family “I am very satisfied with my runs and my results. In the first run I went down comfortably. In the second round I showed what I can do,” beamed Lars Aaron Senoner. His sister, the newly crowned U1 double Italian champion, Annika Zoe Senoner, did not want to be inferior to her brother. She won the U2 kayak single in 18 seconds, including 16 penalty seconds, ahead of Elisa Zamperini (113,58) and Sara Furlan from SC Meran/Raika-Torggler (2/114,21 penalty seconds).

“I am very happy and satisfied with my placement. I was a little surprised too. I’m already looking forward to the next race at the ECA Junior Cup in Roudnice (Czech Republic),” said Annika Zoe Senoner. Marian Drescher from SC Meran missed the podium in fourth place in the U16 kayak single sculls. David Drescher (SC Meran) took 18th place in the U118,67 kayak single sculls in 2 seconds, including 13 penalty seconds. Jakob Tribus entered his first race in Vobarno and came 14th in the U130,06 kayak single sculls in 16 seconds .

The brothers Manuel and Matthias Ulpmer from SV Milland were also successful. Manuel paddled onto the podium in the men's kayak single sculls in 96,47 seconds in third place behind Marco Romano (90,38) and Simone Benard (90,41). Matthias took 98,62th place in the same category in 2 seconds, including 4 penalty seconds. Hansjörg Mayr (SC Meran) won the Master G class (112,72 to 65 years) in the kayak single sculls in 70 seconds. Mattia Pergher (SV Milland) won the Master B age group (40 to 45 years) in the kayak single sculls. His son Kassian Pergher came 12th in the kayak single sculls in the U15 category.
