Brixen is delighted: The swimming season can begin!

It's almost that time again: The competition season in the 50m pool at the Acquarena Brixen outdoor swimming pool will be opened on May 16th and 17th, traditionally at the Brixen Swim Meeting, which is also part of the Euregio Swim Cup.

Young swimmers from South Tyrol, Trentino and several northern Italian regions, as well as from some clubs in North Tyrol and Carinthia, will meet for two days to determine their current performance level with a diverse program.

All starting places are filled, and the public can look forward to exciting races with around 550 participants from 26 teams. The highlight will likely be the knockout final on Saturday afternoon. Athletes from FISDIR, swimmers with intellectual disabilities, will also be competing.

Preparations have been underway for months.

Their participation proved successful last year, rewarding the organizers' commitment to inclusion in sports. Preparations have been underway for months for the organizers, the Brixen Swimming Club and the Disabled Sports Section of the SSV Brixen. They are now looking forward to welcoming the teams, their coaches and support staff, the spectators, and are pleased that enough volunteers have once again been found to tackle all the tasks associated with the event.
