South Tyroleans shine at the Italian Masters Championships

The young-at-heart athletes came from all over Italy to compete in the three competitions (single, double, mixed) in the respective age groups.

There were also 34 South Tyroleans from 6 different teams (Mals, Marling, Merano, Brixen, Bozen, Überetsch) who were able to return home with a wonderful haul of medals: 25 gold, 9 silver and 21 bronze. 3 South Tyroleans even managed to win in all 3 disciplines: Maria Luisa Mur (ASV Mals), Klaus Raffeiner (SC Meran) and Andrea Jana Birrer (SSV Bozen).

The additional team ranking was won by Meran, who were able to beat their Marlingen neighbors very narrowly. This year too, a signal was sent that the South Tyrolean athletes are still setting the tone in Italy.
