Shortly after her victory in the mixed doubles final on Friday, athlete Haung Yaqiong received a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Liu Yuchen, also a badminton player for the Chinese team. In front of the cameras, Liu got down on one knee and pulled out a ring. 30-year-old Huang reacted with tears of joy. The athlete spoke of the "happiest day" of her life.
