Two Malser medals in Bulgaria

At the international badminton tournament “Bulgaria” in Svilengrad, two ASV Mals players recently gave a true test of talent. They grabbed a medal in the U15 competition.

Franzi Hellrigl and Anton Gurschler brought home two bronze medals. They were called up with a small U15 delegation from the national team and did a very good job.

Gurschler was able to advance to the semi-finals in the singles, where he narrowly lost against the Bulgarian Andrei Marcov (20:22 and 15:21). Hellreigl made it to the quarterfinals in the singles. The two were also successful together in the mixed doubles, where they took home the second bronze medal.

In Bulgaria it was mainly the Bulgarians who played, many Turkish players were at the start, Greeks and Romanians mixed in with the Italians.
They were accompanied by the U15 national team coach, Rosario Maddaloni.
