Puster Valley ladies finally write to

The bowler from Pustertal faced Ridnaun's Edith Pfattner in the final match. She played brilliantly, even achieving the day's best score of 544 pins. However, she was ultimately defeated by Pfattner, who scored 541 pins, earning 2,5 set points, while Brugger only managed 1,5. In the final set, Pfattner edged out her by three pins (133:130), securing the decisive point. Otherwise, the match would have ended 4:2 in Pustertal's favor.

Pustertal got off to a lively start, with team captain Sieglinde Müller dominating Veronika Hochrainer across the board, securing a 521:459 pin victory (4:0 in sets). Next up were Ingrid Brugger for Pustertal and Petra Haller for Ridnauntal. The visitors from the Wipptal valley evened the score. Haller's 510 pins earned her three set points, while Brugger's scoreboard remained at 475 pins and one set point.

Pustertal player Margith Gruber lost her third match against Ridnauntal bowler Gabriela Volgger 512:529. Gruber only won the third set, while Volgger took the other three. This put Ridnauntal ahead 2:1 before the match between Kathrin Brugger and Edith Pfattner. The two then made it a very exciting match, so that in the end all eyes were on the final result.

And the disappointment over the bitter defeat should soon have subsided. Pustertal displayed the better team performance, knocking down a total of 2052 pins compared to Ridnauntal's 2039. Thus, the last two points went to the home team, sealing the 3-3 draw.

Lana's men are getting some air The fight against relegation in the men's A1 league is once again incredibly exciting. Last matchday saw Lana and Tirol Mutspitz, two teams still embroiled in the relegation battle, face off. Lana managed to create some breathing room against Tirol, who remain at the bottom of the table, and opened up a four-point gap between themselves in ninth place and Ridnauntal in tenth.

The home victory on the bowling lanes at Lido Lana was never in doubt. Only the young talent Michael Waldner managed to secure a point for Tirol Mutspitz, winning the second match against Christian Gruber decisively with 601:546 pins (4:0 in sets). Lana dominated the remainder of the match.

Franz Höller, the first home bowler, got off to a strong start, defeating Gerhard Höllrigl 577:550 (3:1 in sets). After Gruber and Waldner, it was Georg Plaickner's turn for Lana and Georg Kröll's for Tirol Mutspitz. Plaickner delivered the best performance of the day with 617 pins, leaving Kröll, with his 562 pins, with no choice but to congratulate him.

Reinhard Obergasteiger of Lana also broke the 600-pin mark in his match against Hermann Fasolt, winning 609:546 (3:1 in sets). Hannes Pichler came close to the magical mark, beating Tyrol's Helmuth Alber 598:553 (3:1 in sets). The last two players on the lane were Karl Egger for Lana and Christian Buschwenter for Tirol Mutspitz. The match ended 2:2 in sets, but Egger held a significant lead with 577:528 pins, securing the fifth point for Lana and clinching the victory.

In the end, it was a 7-1 victory because Lana played significantly better as a team than Tirol Mutspitz. Their 3525 pins and a solid average of 587,5 pins far surpassed Tirol Mutspitz's 3340 pins.

The newly promoted Pustertal women's team finally made it! On the ninth matchday of Serie A1, they fought to a 3-3 draw against Ridnauntal, securing their first point of the season. Kathrin Brugger became the tragic hero of the match.
