Sports bowling: Newcomer Burggräfler is the team of the hour

On the third match day, Burggräfler hosted the cup finalists Sarnthein. It was a very close match that was only decided in the final round. Joe Sieder with the day's best performance of 596 and Manfred Oberhofer (567) led the club from Riffian to a 6-2 win (3368:3298) against last year's fourth-place team. Ivan Costadedoi also knew how to convince, having produced a good 593 blades in the starting round.

Meran, Tirol Mutspitz and Fugger Vipiteno without losing points In the women's category, a trio is still undefeated after three rounds. Meran beat Plose 5-1 on the third matchday, Tirol Mutspitz put Pfalzen in its place with the same result and at Fugger Sterzing against Vöran Blecherne only one direct duel went to the promoted team from Tschöggelberg.

The remaining three games ended 4:2. Deutschnofen (against Schlanders) and Villnöß (against Pfeffersberg) prevailed at home, Burggräfler won somewhat surprisingly away at Los Birillos. Laura Andreasi clearly left her mark on this last match, playing a key role in Burggräfler's success with the matchday best of 576 woods. The Riffians took revenge for the defeat in the cup final almost a month ago.
