This victory is worth its weight in gold for Lana's bowlers

Kurtatsch is one of the top teams in the league, as the Unterlanders prove week after week. However, they still had no chance against unleashed Lana bowlers. With a bombshell score of 602 pins and a total of 3611 pins, Lana put in a great performance and dominated the game.

It started with an outstanding Georg Plaickner, who didn't hesitate for long against Tobias Gruber and conjured up the day's best performance of 640 pins on the home track in Lido Lana. Above all, the 240 cones in the clearing area are more than impressive. Gruber, on the other hand, only managed 561 pins and also lost all 4 set points to Plaickner.

The second duel between Christian Gruber and Aaron Peer Pratzer was much closer, with only three pins separating them in the end. Gruber got 3 pins, Peer Pratzer got 614. Both got 611 set points each, which meant that the second match point also went to Lana.

Only Schgraffer and Mayr score for Kurtatsch Afterwards, Hannes Pichler (Lana) was on the track against Alexander Schweiggl (Kurtatsch). Pichler got off to a strong start, winning the first two sets but losing the third. Lana substituted Julian Piazzi for him and the tactical trick worked in the last set. Piazzi won and the third point went to Lana with a score of 571:546. The fourth went to Kurtatsch after a close duel between Johann Rungaldier and Norbert Schgraffer, because Schgraffer, like Rungaldier, took 2 set points but knocked down 5 more pins (572:567).

Last but not least, Karl Egger and Reinhard Obergasteiger came in for Lana and Andreas Dalvai (replaced from throw 60 for Ivan Mayr) and Ivo Mayr for Kurtatsch. Egger won very confidently against Dalvai/Ivan Mayr, taking all 4 set points and the result of 621 pins (to 556 pins from the Kurtatschern). But Ivo Mayr shortened the score to 2:4 with his team's best performance by winning against Reinhard Obergasteiger with 614:598 bowling.

Pfalzen doesn't get anywhere The situation for Pfalzen is becoming increasingly delicate. After the 1:5 defeat against relegation rivals Überetsch Eppan, the Pusterers are still at the bottom of the table, 3 points behind Verdings.

Verdings, which lost 0-6 to Sarnthein, also has to slowly warm up. The gap to Überetsch Eppan, which just collected 2 important points against Falzen, has grown to 4 points.

Überetsch Eppan got off to a strong start in the Pfalzen sports zone. Waltraud Gasser took the first point with 547 pins against Monika Hinteregger with 511 pins, Petra Dorfmann followed suit with 509:442 against Edith Rainer. Sandra Lerchner scored the Palatinate women's only point in the duel against Sonja Mulser by setting the day's best of 562 pins; Mulser got 476 pins. Petra Unterholzner sealed the deal against Martha Holzer and won with 522:488. Überetsch Eppan was also ahead in the overall result, so the game ended 5-1 for the guests.

There was another surprise at the top of the table, for the third time in a row. Villnöß had to admit defeat to third-placed Vöran Blecherne with 3:1. This means that Fugger Vipiteno, which won against Jaufenburg 5-5, has taken the lead again. In the Veranum in Vöran, Villnöß played below expectations and deservedly had to admit defeat.

For the title fight, this slip-up - for Villnöß it is the second in a row after the defeat against Sarnthein a week ago - is of course another piece of firewood. After the dominance of Fugger Vipiteno in recent years, this tension is very well received.

What a fantastic performance from the Lanan bowlers! The Burggräfler defeated third-placed Kurtatsch 6-2 last Saturday and thus consolidated 5th place in the table.
