Wolfi Blaas with a dream start to the second half of the season

In the first official game of 2016, Wolfi Blaas showed off his best side. The captain of champions and league leaders Neumarkt swept an incredible 7 woods off the track in the 1:3702 home win against Lana (3171:654) and provided the best individual performance of the entire first second half of the season.

Franz Höller (Fugger Sterzing) also had a great day with the 6:2 away win (3554:3388) in Kurtatsch. After the last ball played, the veteran from Glaning had 636 sticks. Passeier, third in the table, only made their 6-2 win in Sarnthein (3359:3291) clear in the last round. Karl Egger (Passeier) became the best bowler of the match with 584 bowlers.

The match between St. Georgen and Schnals was a clearer affair than in the first half of the season. This time the “Jergina” won with a big lead (3393:3201) 7:1 and secured fourth place. Ludwig Messner (St. Georgen) hit 604 pins.

Burggräfler collected important points in the relegation battle in the 6:2 home win (3288:3116) against Aldein. The club from Riffian was once again able to rely on veteran Joe Sieder, who brought down 596 pins. However, the second cellar derby between Prichsna and Jenesien was very close. With a lead of 13 wood, the Bischofstadt team prevailed 5:3 (3204:3191), who also had the best player of the match in their ranks with Konrad Reifer (575).

Fugger Sterzing wins surprisingly clearly in Villnöß

The break is also over for the women. The top duo celebrated clear victories: Fugger Sterzing won in Villnöß 5,5:0,5, while Tirol Mutspitz brought newly promoted Kiens to its knees with 5:1. Deutschnofen, on the other hand, defeated their colleagues from Meran 6-0, Los Birillos won away from bottom team Ratschings 5-1, Passeier tripped up Vöran Blecherne (4-2) and Pfeffersberg won 5-1 in front of their own audience against Burggräfler.
