Schenk’s Olympic dream continues

The Val Gardena sport climber Filip Schenk is still on course for success in the Olympic qualification in Budapest (HUN). On Friday he reached the semi-finals.

The best 20 sport climbers are allowed to compete in the semi-finals of the Olympic qualification in the Hungarian capital. Filip Schenk, who finished 19th (sum of lead and bouldering), is also there. The Val Gardena native, however, must improve if he wants to jump on the Olympic train (click here for a detailed explanation).

The top 13 climbers are allowed to compete in the Summer Olympics in Paris. Not only the results from Budapest will be taken into account, but also those from Shanghai (CHN). Schenk was also in the semifinals there, but was then eliminated. The semifinals in Budapest will take place on Saturday from 10 a.m.
