Silver and bronze for South Tyrol's climbers

At the second and final Lead Youth Italian Cup, the AVS athletes were successful across the board: Nadja Ranalter finished second, and Dario Cadonau took bronze. The team performance was impressive.

On July 12, the second and final Youth Italian Cup of the season in the lead discipline for the U15 and U17 age groups took place at the Courmayeur Climbing Center. The South Tyrol Alpine Association (AVS) sent a total of nine athletes – six girls and three boys – from various sections.

Particularly noteworthy are the strong performances of Nadja Ranalter, who took an excellent second place in the final of the U15 female category, and Dario Cadonau, who took third place in the U17 male category and thus secured the bronze medal.

The two athletes from St. Pauls, Anton Moser and Vanessa Atz, also performed particularly well in the qualification: Both advanced to the finals as runners-up. Anton ultimately finished fifth, and Vanessa finished seventh. Vera Nagler also achieved a strong sixth place in the U15 female category.

This competition marked the end of this season's Italian Youth Cup. Anton Moser secured second place overall, while Nadja Ranalter also won a bronze medal in the overall standings with third place.
