Olympic feeling in Brixen

The Olympic feeling prevailed in recent days not only in Paris, but also in the Vertikale climbing center in Brixen. Olympian Beatrice Colli spent ten days in the episcopal city getting the finishing touches for the climbing competitions.

The Olympic Games in Paris are already in full swing. Climbing fans will have to wait until August 5th for the climbing competitions - boulder, lead and speed will be climbed in Le Bourget in Paris. In order to arrive in the best possible shape, the Azzurra, Beatrice Colli, used the last few days for intensive training.

She completed her climbing training on the speed wall in the Vertikale climbing center in Brixen. The 19-year-old Colli from Lecco has qualified for the Olympics in Paris - like 14 other athletes. She will compete in the speed competitions and prove her skills. Also coming to train with her in the Vertikale was the former speed world champion Ludovico Fossali, who did not manage to qualify for this year's games.

Win-win situation

"We are of course very pleased that such top-class climbing athletes choose to train in our climbing center. We have ensured that Beatrice has all the necessary conditions to prepare herself as best as possible for this sporting highlight," explains Ralf Preindl, Managing Director of Vertikale.

Colli was also pleased with the training conditions and is travelling to Paris in good shape. Climbing fans can cheer on Beatrice Colli at the qualification on Monday, August 5th. "If she improves her personal best slightly, she would have a chance of making it to the quarter-finals," explains Preindl. The best eight athletes will take part in the quarter-finals on Wednesday, August 7th - followed by the semi-finals and finals.
