Schenk is currently in good form. The 24-year-old from St. Christina is competing in the penultimate Lead World Cup for sport climbers in Koper. He is South Tyrol's only participant and was also the best Azzurro in the qualification.
In the field of 57 participants, Briton Toby Roberts had the best qualification. He won ahead of Taisei Homma (Japan) and South Korean Dohyun Lee. There are six Japanese in the top 10.
Schenk was the ninth best European in the field. The level at the top of the world is extremely high. Therefore, 20th place is definitely an impressive result.
