Froome before his second Tour de France victory

The Brit lost time to Nairo Quintana on the climb to L'Alpe d'Huez, but saved his lead to the finish and will wear the yellow jersey in the grand finale in Paris on Sunday. On the "Tour de l'Honneur" there are traditionally no longer any attacks on the leader of the overall classification. It will be Froome's second Tour victory since 2013.

Thibaut Pinot secured victory in the 20th stage over 110,5 km from Modane to the cycling mecca Alpe d'Huez on Saturday. The Frenchman won the prestigious mountain finish 16 seconds ahead of Quintana and 41 seconds ahead of Canadian Ryder Hesjedal. Froome reached the finish in fifth place after 110,5 km.

Manuel Quinziato from Bolzano, however, crossed the finish line 21,19 minutes behind in 99th place. In the overall ranking, the man from Bolzano is in 120th place.
