Geschke wins the first Alpine stage of the tour - Quinziato beaten off

It is the first Tour stage victory in Geschke's career, who drives for the Giant-Alpecin team and is otherwise primarily intended as a helper for John Degenkolb. Geschke distanced second-placed Andrew Talansky from the USA by 32 seconds. Overall leader Christopher Froome crossed the finish line 7:16 minutes behind.
