French world champion Pauline Ferrand-Prévot won the 5th stage of the Giro Rosa from Trezzo sull'Adda to Aprica over 128,4 km ahead of Megan Guarnier on Wednesday. The American defended her pink jersey. However, it was a terrible day for Anna Zita Stricker from Vinschger, who lost 9.46 minutes and fell from 20th to 50th place in the overall ranking.
