There are seven exciting races in Merano on Sunday.

Seven races, 57 thoroughbreds

On the sixth day of racing in Meran, seven flat and steeplechase races with a total of 57 thoroughbreds from Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic are on the program. Led by Josef Bartos and Jan Faltejsek, the elite of Central European jockeys are at the start.

The focus of the program on Sunday, May 19th is the hurdle race for the Schenna Prize (for four-year-old horses, 3.300 meters, 18.700 euros). The starting field includes seven horses.


Poirot (Gaetano Volpe) arrives from Poland. The gelding from the Kartus racing team took second place behind Apex in a similar test three weeks ago. Also taking part is the duo from the Aichner First Polar racing team (Bartos) and Madrilene (Jan Kratochvil), who were narrowly beaten by the Pole in this race.

The race starts at 14.30:12 p.m., the racecourse and the restaurant open at 13.30 p.m. A tour of the racecourse will take place at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m.
