Skymarathon Rosengarten Schlern: 7th edition in July

Every year on the second weekend in July, 500 mountain running enthusiasts take part in the Rosengarten Skymarathon. Registration for the seventh edition begins on January 1, 2024.

The small mountain village of Tiers in the Seiseralm Dolomites holiday region is transformed into a show run for trail runners on the occasion of the Skymarathon Rosengarten Schlern. The 45 kilometer long route without asphalt and 3.000 meters in altitude is praised by athletes and amateur athletes alike. “This is one of the most beautiful routes ever and I always enjoy coming to Tiers,” says runner-up world champion in trail running Andreas Reiterer from Avelengo in South Tyrol; He holds the course record in Tiers with a time of 4:48.24,7 from 2021.

While the athletes run the long route in five to six hours, the top time limit for the race is set at ten hours. Anyone who does not finish by 17 p.m. will no longer be counted. For safety reasons, the recommended guideline for all participants is to be at the checkpoint at Cigolade Pass no later than 12.00:12.30 p.m. Runners on the long route, on the other hand, must have passed the checkpoint in the Grasleiten basin within XNUMX p.m.; If this is not the case, the starting number can be communicated to the marshals in order to be included in the short distance classification and not disqualified.

Registration starts on January 1, 2024

Runners who are eighteen years old on the day of the race and have a valid sports medical certificate are eligible. Registration for the seventh edition on July 13, 2024 opens on January 1, 2024.
