FC Südtirol and Lumezzane drew 1-1

Coach Lorenzo D'Anna only had to do without the ailing Fink (who also had his birthday) on Sunday and resorted to a 4-3-3 system, with Cappelletti and Bassoli in defense, the young Bastone in central midfield, as well as Furlan and Branca on the wings. In attack, he sent the Campo-Dell'Agnello-Corazza trio onto the field. Lumezzane immediately went into overdrive: The guests had their first chance to score in the first minute, but Galuppini shot the ball just past the post.

In the 15th minute, Lumezzane made another quick advance. Torregrosse opened up on the left wing for Benedetti, who sent a confident cross to Galuppi from his left. The Lumezzane striker had the necessary time to control the ball and chased it towards the goal. However, Micai instinctively recognized the danger and fought back decisively. The FCS didn't allow themselves to be upset and found their way into the game increasingly better.

In the 39th minute, the White-Reds narrowly missed the opening goal: Cappelletti played directly to Dell'Agnello, who immediately passed it on to Corazza. He was pulled to the ground when he received the ball, but the referee allowed play to continue. Two minutes later the FCS attacked again: a shot from Corazza was blocked by Bason. Dell'Agnello took the rebound but headed it wide of the goal.

In the second half, the White-Reds initially weren't very productive. The guests took advantage of this chance and took the lead in the 70th minute thanks to Galuppini. Benedetti crossed from the left to Ganz, who headed straight into the goal. Micai shot towards the post, where Galuppini grabbed the ball and scored to make it 0-1. However, FC Südtirol reacted immediately to the deficit. Ten minutes later, Campo played a corner, which Cappelletti skillfully headed into the goal, making the final score 1-1.

Although the FCS got one point, Lorenzo D'Anna's hours seem to be numbered after the stuttering start with a total of five points from five games. Several media outlets reported at the weekend that a successor to D'Anna had already been found in Claudio Rastelli, who was at his side.

On matchday 5 of the First Division, the White-Reds had to be content with a 1-1 draw against Lumezzane. Both goals came in the second half of the game. After the visitors' lead goal, Cappelletti equalized. Coach Lorenzo D'Anna's hours in the Talferstadt seem numbered despite the point win.
