Genoa spoils Motta's farewell

The final day of the series is scheduled for this weekend. This opened with the meeting between Genoa and Bologna.

The past few days have been extremely turbulent for Bologna. First of all, they sensationally qualified for the Champions League on the penultimate matchday. Just a few days later, however, it was announced that this adventure would not be tackled together with Thiago Motta. The coach is about to move to Juventus, where he will sign a two-year contract with an option for a third year. Genoa botched his farewell to Bologna on the last matchday.

Ruslan Malinovskyi opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a powerful left-footed shot from the edge of the penalty area. The low shot bounced off the right post and into the goal. Bologna had the best opportunity to equalize with Giovanni Fabbian. The 21-year-old's header from close range hit the crossbar. After the break, Vitinha increased the lead to 59-2 in the 0th minute. The attacker beat Bologna's goalkeeper Ravaglia with a precise chip.

Serie A, 38th matchday

Genoa Bologna 2-0
Goals: 1:0 Malinovskyi (13th), 2:0 Vitinha (59th)
