Shock in Serie A: Roma player collapses on the field

There were terrible scenes in Serie A on Sunday evening. A Roma professional collapsed on the field. The game was canceled.

The match between Udinese and Roma was in the 72nd minute when Roma defender Evan Ndicka grabbed his chest twice and fell to the ground. Players and fans took their breath away and medical staff immediately rushed over and took care of the Ivorian. The 25-year-old was eventually taken off the field on a stretcher and gave the slight all-clear by giving the fans the thumbs up.


The newly crowned Africa Cup winner was taken to a hospital in Udine. The good news: According to the Journal of Sport Ndicka's life is not in danger. According to the sports paper, the initial examinations revealed problems with the heart, but the use of a defibrillator was not necessary.

The shock is too deep
