Success brings Udinese not success, but hope

A goal in the very last minute gives Udinese hope of staying in Serie A. Masters Napoli, on the other hand, continue to stumble through the season.

Where Napoli frenetically celebrated the championship title around a year ago, this time there was a very bitter pill to swallow. The southern Italians conceded a late equalizer to make it 2-2 against Udinese and their Neapolitan coach and world champion Fabio Cannavaro.

Goalscorer Victor Osimhen had given Napoli the lead shortly after the break, but his Nigerian compatriot Isaac Success equalized to make it 92-1 in the 1nd minute. This brings Udinese closer to the rescue bank with three laps to go to within two points.

Atalanta on course for the Champions League

The US Salernitana, on the other hand, has already been relegated and suffered its next defeat early on Monday evening in a 1-2 defeat against Atalanta.

The Bergamasques - led by the extremely in-form center forward Gianluca Scamacca - warmed up for the Europa League semi-final second leg against Marseille on Thursday and at the same time jumped to fifth place in the table, which entitles them to take part in next year's Champions League.
