Comeback at Frosinone: Milan wins late

Milan just avoided an embarrassment in Serie A. The Rossoneri won on Saturday despite being behind at table laggard Frosinone.

Stefano Pioli's team owed Frosinone a lot for a long time, but won 3-2 thanks to substitute Luka Jovic. Milan returned to winning ways after the 2-2 draw against Bologna. Mike Maignan & Co. remain in third place in the table.

Olivier Giroud gave Milan the lead with a header in the 17th minute. Just a few minutes later, Rafael Leao caused a penalty with a handball, which Matias Soulé converted. It was the Argentine's tenth goal of the season. After the break, Luca Mazzitelli even gave the home team dreams of victory when he was successful with an individual effort. Defender Matteo Gabbia equalized just seven minutes later before Jovic decided the match. The Serb had only just come on as a substitute when he converted a rebound to give Milan an important three points.
