FC Südtirol: Opening program and new arrivals are here

Because not all Series B participants have been determined yet, it was initially reported that the start would be postponed by two weeks. That's not the case now. The new season begins as planned on August 19th. The canceled games will simply be made up over the course of the season. This scenario affects FC Südtirol on matchday 3. The remaining two places come, among other things Lecco , Brescia, Reggina and Perugia in question.

For the FCS, the championship begins on Sunday, August 20th at 18 p.m. with a home game against relegated Spezia, which on paper is one of the strongest teams in the league. Almost a week later, the team continues with an away game against newcomer Feralpisaló led by former coach Stefano Vecchi.

Born on February 2, 1998 in Vico Equense (Naples), Giuseppe Cuomo (1.90 meters x 79 kilos) received his football training in the youth sector of Nocerina. In 2014 he moved to the youth sector of Crotone, for whose professional team he made his debut in paid football in March 2017 (Napoli-Crotone 3-0). In the winter of 2018, Cuomo moved to Serie C on loan from Rende, where he immediately fought for a place in the starting eleven.

When he returned to Crotone he was immediately promoted to the professional squad. In his second Serie B season he was able to celebrate promotion to Serie A with the Calabrese. He made 2020 appearances in the Italian top flight in the 21/14 season. During that season he was also able to play two competitive games for the Italian U21 national team. Cuomo remained loyal to the red and blue club colors even after the relegations to Serie B and Serie C. For Crotone, Cuomo played a total of 14 Serie A, 46 Serie B (two goals) and 30 Serie C games (two in the playoffs; one goal).
