Filippo Scaglia (r.) leaves FC Südtirol.

FCS defender Scaglia moves to his hometown

FC Südtirol will have to do without the services of Filippo Scaglia in the future. The central defender is moving to his hometown of Turin, where he will soon be presented as a new signing at Juventus.

In the winter, FCS sports director Paolo Bravo signed the 32-year-old from Como. Scaglia was a lucky find and formed a stable defensive block with Andrea Masiello. Towards the end of the season, Scaglia was slowed down by a few minor ailments, but with his calm yet intense nature, he was an important part of the upswing under Federico Valente.

In the future, however, the FCS coach will have to do without Scaglia's services. He is moving back to his hometown of Turin. Juventus has been keeping an eye on Scaglia for some time. The veteran is to be a leading figure for the young talents in the NextGen team (Serie C). However, the FCS has already taken precautions and signed a no less experienced defender in Luca Ceppitelli.
