This is how much FC Südtirol spends on salaries

The FCS is in 18th place in the salary ranking and is therefore in a “relegation zone”. The White-Reds spend less than 6 million euros on salaries. Sampdoria pays 5 times as much, but is currently behind FC Südtirol in the table that counts. Only Cittadella and newly promoted Lecco have lower personnel costs in Italy's 2nd league than FC Südtirol, which also came 18th in the salary ranking last season. At that time, Cittadella, the perennial bottom of this particular ranking, and Cosenza had invested less. The team from Calabria now overtook the FCS.

In 2022/23, South Tyrol's only professional football club had salary expenses of just over 6 million euros, but the total budget this season is above the around 15 million euros of the previous year. The White-Reds started their second Serie B season with just under 16,5 million euros. Basically, not much has changed when it comes to salaries. Last season, Hans Nicolussi Caviglia in particular caused personnel costs to soar past the 2 million euro mark, although Juventus, the midfielder's home club, which moved to Serie A in January, was known to cover part of the costs. This is not taken into account in these salary rankings, nor are bonus payments and bonuses. However, the published salary amounts always serve as a guideline. FC Südtirol, but also Cittadella, can – at least so far – be celebrated as champions of efficiency. Cittadella, the “church mouse” of Serie B, is currently ahead of FC Südtirol with 19 points together with Cosenza in 8th place. FCS, which will play in Cittadella after the international break on November 25th (14 p.m.), is in 16 points 11th place and also have to make up for the home match against Brescia from neo-coach Rolando Maran on November 28th (18.30 p.m.).

Sampdoria and Parma pay the most At the top of the salary ranking, Sampdoria sits ahead of Parma - the current leader had a loss of around 90 million euros in the summer - and Como with new coach Cesc Fabregas. 6 second division clubs spend over 20 million euros on salaries alone, including Spezia. The Serie A relegation is the biggest disappointment so far. Coach Luca D'Angelo, the successor to the dismissed Massimiliano Alvini, is supposed to lead Spezia back up - the club is currently in a relegation zone. Ternana, which has also already changed coaches (Roberto Breda for Cristiano Lucarelli), is investing almost 10 million euros in terms of salaries, but has only collected 7 points. Ascoli (with Fabrizio Castori for the fired William Viali) and Feralpisaló also pay more for salaries than the FCS, but are stuck in the bottom of the table.
