FC Südtirol signs Scudetto winner

FC Südtirol is still busy putting together its squad for next season. The White-Reds have now brought a midfielder on board who has already won Serie A.

FC Südtirol announced on Tuesday evening that an agreement had been reached with the Luxembourg club Swift Hesperange regarding the signing of Karim Zedadka. The two clubs have agreed on a permanent transfer agreement. Zedadka has signed a three-year contract with FC Südtirol until June 30, 2027.

Karim Zedadka was born on June 9, 2000 in Pertuis, France, and received his football training in the youth sector of Nice. The 24-year-old midfielder (184 cm) has both French and Algerian citizenship and has made a name for himself during his career mainly on the left wing, although he can also impress on the right side of the pitch.

In the summer of 2018, Zedadka moved from Nice to Naples, where he joined the Primavera team. In his first season in Italy, he took part in the UEFA Youth League with the Partenopei juniors, among other things. In October 2020, the midfielder was loaned to Cavese in Serie C to gain his first experience in professional football.

The Scudetto win

Zedadka spent the 2021/22 season on loan at Belgian first division club R Charleroi SC. In the following season, the 24-year-old was able to prove his skills with the Napoli professionals. Under the leadership of Luciano Spalletti, Zedadka played three Serie A games and was able to celebrate the historic third Scudetto for the "Azzurri" at the end of the season.

Last summer, his player rights were acquired by the Luxembourg club Swift Hesperange, for whom he played ten competitive matches in six months. In the winter of this year, Zedadka moved to Ascoli on loan, where he played a total of 15 Serie B matches in the second half of the season.
