Who are the four new guys at FC Südtirol?

First Dauoda Peeters and Emanuele Pecorino (both from Juventus NextGen), then Nicola Rauti (Torino) and Andrea Cisco (Pisa). FC Südtirol presented four new ones on Friday. The roles of the newcomers, all of whom are still relatively young, are not only very different, but will probably also differ significantly during the championship. Dauoda Peeters (Midfield, Juventus NextGen) The highest-profile newcomer is Dauoda Peeters. The Belgian is 24 years old and is said to be following in the footsteps of Hans Nicolussi Caviglia at FC Südtirol. He came to the White-Reds last year after a long period of suffering and was immediately the linchpin of the team. In the winter, the Juve talent made the jump to Salernitana in Serie A. Peeters has a very similar story. Like Nicolussi Caviglia, a midfielder, the Mali-born Belgian was also out for a long time. Not because of knee injuries, but because of neuropathy. Peeters couldn't play football for a year and four months. It was a hard blow for the former U4 international, because at exactly that point in time he was on the verge of joining Belgium's major club Standard Liège. Now Peeters is healthy again and should take the next step at FCS in a career that actually seemed predestined for higher tasks than Serie B. In 21 he made his Serie A debut with Juventus.

What can Peeters do at FCS? The Belgian combines a strong physique with technical finesse and playmaking qualities. If Peeters can quickly regain his footing after his illness, the FCS can look forward to a top-class player in the midfield. He always brings what it takes with him.

Emanuele Pecorino (Forward, Juventus NextGen) The second new member of the Juve youth team is Emanuele Pecorino. The Sicilian is 21 years old and a physical force of nature. The striker is 1,92 meters tall and is left-footed. At Juventus, Pecorino stood out less for his goal rate (6 goals last year in Serie C) and more for his work for the team. Pecorino is particularly valuable in pressing and in quick counterattacks. In the preseason he trained a lot with the Juve professionals and was also part of the Europa League squad. But he didn't get used. Emanuele Pecorino is a very physically present striker.

What can Pecorino do at FCS? The Juve talent was probably brought in as a back-up for Raphael Odogwu. The two are very similar types of players who combine robustness and speed and are also valuable for team play. But who knows whether Pecorino will be content to play second fiddle in the long run. He has the skills to survive in Serie B - and why shouldn't it work together with Odogwu? In any case, an interesting man who Paolo Bravo lured here to South Tyrol.

Andrea Cisco (wings, Pisa) It had been clear for days that Andrea Cisco would join the FCS. The 24-year-old comes from Pisa, but was with Virtus Francavilla in Serie C last year. He had an excellent season there (one goal, 8 assists). Cisco can play left and right and is extremely strong. This is perfect for FCS coach Pierpaolo Bisoli, who needs such players on the side.

What can Cisco do with FCS? A good Series C professional does not have to automatically ignite in Series B. We also saw that last year with Marco Pompetti, who was a really dominant player in the third division. In contrast to the delicate six, Cisco should fit the Bisoli style much better. Whether he makes the jump will depend above all on his ability to endure. The quality is there.

Nicola Rauti (Storm, Torino) Another new addition, Nicola Rauti, was presented on Friday. The man from the Torino youth team is also a striker and comes to South Tyrol from first division club Torino after a Serie B season with SPAL (17 short appearances, 0 goals). At 1,80 meters, the Lombard from Legnago is not small, but also not a classic breaker in the storm. Rather, Rauti is a very active attacker who is more of a hanging tip than a nine.

What can Rauti do at FCS? Rauti wasn't really able to get into the spotlight at relegated SPAL, but at 23 years old he still has a career ahead of him. He is probably planned as a supplementary player in the FCS, but this role is also extremely important and if he gets the idea, things can happen quickly. Rauti is no bad footballer.
