Lorenzo Sgarbi and Serie B? It just hasn't been a good fit so far. That's why the Bolzano native is now taking a step back and moving to Serie C.

Lorenzo Sgarbi has played 36 games in Serie B over the past two years. However, the attacking player from Bolzano wasn't truly happy there. The 24-year-old failed to make a lasting impression at Bari, Juve Stabia, Pescara, or Avellino. Therefore, the former FCS youth player is now moving to Serie C.

Sambenedettese have signed Sgarbi on loan from his parent club Napoli. The team from the Marche region returned to Serie C a year ago and aims to re-establish itself there. Sgarbi is expected to help them, having amassed an impressive 22 scorer points (seven goals, 15 assists) in his last season in the third division.
