First professional goal for Zanon: “Finally, it was time”

Simone Zanon fought her way into the professional game via Serie D and is a top performer at Carrarese (Series C, Group B). He scored his first goal at the weekend.

In his second professional season Simone Zanon achieved the final breakthrough. He was already a regular at Sangiuliano last year. After the Lombards were relegated to Serie D, the Sinicher moved to Carrarese, which has Serie B in its sights. “The goal is promotion. I have signed a three-year contract and hope it works out,” said Zanon.

Things are currently not going quite as planned for the club from the famous marble town. Carrarese slipped to fourth place in the table after the 2-3 defeat against Arezzo. For Zanon himself, the game was another milestone - because he scored his first professional goal. “I finally scored, it was about time,” said the 4-year-old. He feels right at home in Carrara, the club hasn't written off Serie B yet. “If direct promotion doesn’t work out in the championship, we want to get as far as possible in the playoffs,” says the former FCS youth player combatively. Emanuele Zuelli Was not in the squad against Arezzo.

Fischnitzer scores again – De Luca with his 2nd goal of the season

Also plays in Group B Manuel Fischnler, who scored his 1th goal of the season in the 3-9 defeat against Rimini at the weekend. Eljon Toci moved from Sestri Levante to Pro Sesto (also a Serie C club) in the winter. The Merano native was in the squad against Fiorenzuola (0-0), but was not used. Lorenzo Sgarbi played 2 minutes in Avellino's 2-90 draw against Juve Stabia. The Gardena David Wieser made a short appearance in Mantova's 1-1 draw against Arzignano, while Federico Davi (Laives) played through on the other side. Jonas Heinz (Taranto) is injured, as well Simon Straud (Klagenfurt). The second half of the season has not yet begun in Austria. The same applies to Germany Legionnaires Max Reinthaler.

Manuel DeLuca had a mixed weekend with Sampdoria. Pfattner was able to score his second goal of the season and was also in the starting line-up, but the Genoese lost to Venezia 2-5.
