Raphael Trompedeller, here still in the Bozner FC jersey.
The new football world of Raphael Trompedeller
Raphael Trompedeller actually started the season as Bozner FC's first-choice goalkeeper. But just over a week ago, the Sarner moved to Lavis in Serie D. How did that come about?

“I was simply no longer happy at Bozner FC,” Trompedeller explained on SportNews-Demand. The 20-year-old grew up with the Oranges. At the age of 12, he moved from the Sarntal to the state capital, before taking over from goalkeeper icon Denis Iardino in goal at Bozen FC. Last year, Trompedeller managed to stay in the Oberliga with the club at the last minute.
He was already toying with the idea of leaving the club in the summer. Lavis knocked on the door, but the transfer only came about in September. Trompedeller was essentially loaned to Lavis by Bozner FC. At the Trentino club, he plays alongside Pino Ruggiero and Yassine Bounou, among others, who are also well-known in South Tyrolean football.
A curious Serie D debut
The keeper promptly celebrated his Serie D debut for the promoted team at the weekend. In the 0-1 home defeat against Virtus Ciserano Bergamo, Trompedeller showed a great performance with some strong saves before Lavis (with 10 men) conceded the goal in injury time. One action later, Trompedeller also injured his shoulder.Raphael Trompedeller in the Bozner FC jersey. © DLife/LO
It is not yet clear how long Trompedeller will be out. "I hope only two to three weeks. But I have injured my shoulder several times before. That's why an operation is not out of the question," explained the goalkeeper. One thing is certain: Trompedeller, who only recently started his new office job in Bolzano, has had an intensive few weeks.
