VIDEO | Beautiful free kick: Eva Schatzer's first professional goal

The South Tyrolean Eva Schatzer plays with Sampdoria in Serie A. She scored her first professional goal at the weekend.

On January 8, 2023, Eva Schatzer made her professional debut for Juventus. In the summer, the offensive player from Vahrn was loaned to Sampdoria, where she should gain more playing experience in Serie A. This project is working so far. The icing on the cake was the first professional goal for the 18-year-old South Tyrolean last weekend.

With a beautifully taken free kick, Schatzer gave Sampdoria the lead against Inter after just 6 minutes. As a result, the Samp Women had to accept the equalizer, but because goalkeeper Amanda Tampieri had an outstanding day, it remained a 1-1 draw against the favorites from Milan. As in the previous two league games, Schatzer played 90 minutes.

Eva Schatzer comes from the Brixen youth department and was even nominated for the Azzurre's provisional World Cup squad in the summer. In the end, the South Tyrolean talent had to stay at home after the training camp, but the fact that she was there during the World Cup preparations speaks for a bright future. By the way, Schatzer's cousin is Elisa Pfattner, who is currently on loan from Juventus to Neulengbach (Austrian Bundesliga). The 19-year-old attacker from Latzfons is a regular there and has scored 9 goals in 2 league games so far.
