Oberliga: Bozen 96 and Obermais gain new hope

FC Obermais probably had the biggest one. The bottom team confidently beat second-placed Comano Fiavè 2-0 away and showed another sign of life in the relegation battle. In this form, the Merano team can still make the impossible possible and secure their stay in the top league.

FC Bozen 96 can also continue to hope, as they surprisingly defeated fifth-placed Salurn 1-0. The penultimate team in the table was able to convince across the board and took the well-deserved lead through Kabilo in the 43rd minute.

The Taflerstädter are now closing in on SV Tramin in the table, who lost 1-2 in the derby against FC Eppan. Avancini scored the winning goal for the white-reds in the final minutes. Gius and Pfitscher had previously scored to make it 1-1.

Not only Tramin but also SSV Brixen had to swallow a bitter pill. The cathedral townspeople took the lead in Mori with a goal from Mirabella, but the Trentino team turned the tables and scored the winning goal in stoppage time.

There was no winner in the duel between table neighbors Plose and Alense. Leader Dro, on the other hand, unexpectedly let the struggling footballers from Albiano score a point.

St. Martin wins early pursuit duel

In the early game of the 25th round of the Oberliga, St. Martin beat SSV Ahrntal 4-2 away on Saturday evening. One player in particular left his mark on the top game, namely Daniel Lanthaler. After Ahrntals Niederkofler missed a penalty in the 10th minute, Lanthaler put SC St. Martin on the road to victory with a flawless hat trick in the first half. As clear as the game had been up to this point, the final phase was all the more exciting. Because Ahrntal didn't give up and came close through goals from Unterkircher and Ritsch. Only the fourth guest goal by Ennemoser in the 88th minute sealed St. Martin's away win.
