Manuel DeLuca is South Tyrol's best attacker on paper. The 25-year-old has already stormed 84 times in Serie B, scoring 19 goals and 5 assists. De Luca played in Serie A for the first time last season before a meniscus injury cost him almost the entire playing time. Only one more appearance was added because the Unterlander kept having problems with his knee.

In the end, his club, Sampdoria, was quietly relegated to Serie B. Now De Luca wants to make a new attempt under new coach Andrea Pirlo.
