Pustertal derby for points and prestige

After four matches were played on Friday and Saturday, eight teams will bring the long league weekend to a close on Monday. There are six teams from South Tyrol among them, four of which compete against each other in direct duels.

A special day for Manuel Pipperger

The guest appearance of SSV Ahrntal against local rivals St. Georgen is particularly explosive. On the one hand it's about a lot of prestige, but on the other hand it's also about valuable points in the table. The “Jergina” want to make it to third place in the last four games, while the “Teldra” want to secure relegation early.

For one of the 22 players on the field, the upcoming derby is something special, namely Manuel Pipperger. The Ahrntaler played for his hometown club for twelve years, but moved to the Bruneck suburb last autumn and is now facing SSV as an opponent for the first time. "The encounter will certainly be a bit strange for me. I hope it won't be the last, i.e. Ahrntal will stay in class at the end of the season," said Manuel Pipperberg recently in the ASC St. Georgen stadium magazine.

ASC St. Martin is also fighting to stay in the league and faces a truly mammoth task in the away game against second-placed Bozner FC, who have been unbeaten for five rounds. Third Obermais will play away against Comano on Monday, while Naturn's table neighbor Arco will host Arco.
