4-goal man decides big regional league derby
Exactly one kilometer as the crow flies separates the two football pitches in Schenna and Riffian. They are within sight of each other. When ASC Schenna and ASV Riffian Kuens meet, it is the regional league derby par excellence. This one, however, has a clear winner.

Schenna swept their local rivals off the pitch with a score of 5:1. The outstanding man was goal scorer Thomas Mair, who scored four times and single-handedly pushed Riffian Kuens back to the other side of the valley.
The guests had taken the lead in the 36th minute with a penalty converted by Stefano Betteto. But Mair equalized just three minutes later from the penalty spot. Immediately after the restart, Jakob Gögele put the home team in the lead for the first time. And that was the end of Riffian Kuens, as the great Mair show began: the 30-year-old center forward scored again from the penalty spot, then twice more to make the final score 5-1. He scored a flawless hat trick in the space of twelve minutes.
With this derby triumph, the first point win this season, Schenna is now level with its local rivals in the table. Riffian Kuens, on the other hand, has been waiting for decades for a championship win against its neighbor.
No goals in Salurn
In Saturday's second game in the regional league, Salurn and Kiens drew goalless. It is the second draw in a row for both teams, and both are still waiting for their first win of the season.The 3th national league matchday:
