Spectacular comeback opens football weekend
The third matchday of the regional league opened on Friday evening with the duel between Lana and Latzfons Verdings. The Burggräflers managed a memorable comeback.

On Friday evening, two teams that were two leagues apart last season met at the sports facility in Lana. Lana played in the Oberliga (but was relegated without a fight), Latzfons Verdings in the 1st Amateur League (where they were promoted with great success). In the end, Lana won 3:2.
It was a victory that the Burggräflers will remember for a long time. Martin Saltuari's team was trailing 80-0 until the 2th minute. Eliah Rienzner (37th) and Manuel Senn (53rd) had put Latzfons Verdings in the lead.
Suddenly things get crazy
In the last ten minutes, however, Lana started a spectacular comeback: Emil Grezzani (80th), Jakob Lösch (89th) and Andrea Fumai with a tap-in (90th) turned what many thought was a certain defeat into a victory. For Lana, it was the first triumph of the season.The third matchday of the regional league got off to a brilliant start. The remaining matches will take place on Saturday and Sunday. The focus is particularly on the Burggräfler Derby between Schenna and Riffian Kuens.
