Regional tournament: These are South Tyrol's teams

Less than 30 days remain until the start of the 2026 regional tournament. The state teams of the U19, U17 and U15 age groups, as well as the U21 women's team, will be participating.

The most traditional and prestigious event in Italian amateur youth football is entering its 62nd edition this year. Apulia is the host region. Matches will be played from March 27th to April 3rd in the provinces of Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, and Taranto. The South Tyrolean regional committee from Bolzano has been drawn into Group C in all four categories. There, the South Tyrolean teams will face Lazio (March 28th), Umbria (March 29th), and Basilicata (March 30th) in succession.

Preparations for this season highlight have been underway since October. The foundation was laid early with initial scouting and call-ups – based on a detailed concept by the unforgettable Andreas Canal, who for over four years was responsible for organizing the selection activities with great competence and passion, leaving a lasting mark.

The new coaches

Compared to last year's edition, there are several changes in the coaching staff. The U19 juniors will be coached by Mauro Ambrosi together with Franz Profunser. Harald Crepaz and Fabio Pelanda will be on the sidelines for the U15s. The women's team will be led by Silvia Marcolin and Sara Di Filippo.

Continuity prevails in the U17 team: Manuel Obrist remains head coach, assisted by Markus Terzer. Günther Pföstl (U19), Klaus Pichler (U17), Karl Wierer (U15), and Rodolfo Berardo (Women) serve as team managers.
