Schenna hopes for derby turnaround: “Every game like a final”
It's derby time in the regional league on Saturday. Schenna welcomes Riffian Kuens and wants to finally score after two games without a win at the start.

"Everyone knows what this derby is about. The players have been on fire all week," says Veit Gögele. The Schenna coach is also a little nervous for another reason. His team lost the first two games and conceded 10 goals. "The fact that we didn't get off to a good start makes the game against Riffian Kuens even more special," says Gögele.
Schenna is already severely depleted in terms of personnel after just two match days. The problem is particularly in defence, says Gögele: "We knew before the season that we could have problems in defence. It's not easy because I have to field a new pair of centre-backs every week. That makes it difficult to find stability." Gögele is pinning his hopes on the return of Klaus Ilmer, who will be available again in a few weeks: "He was a regular in centre-back last year."

Before the derby against Riffian Kuens, Gögele calls for team spirit. "We have to stick together if we want to stay in the regional league. For us, every game is like a final, the team knows that," said the young coach. But Gögele will not be able to use his full squad on Saturday either - on the contrary: "Personnel-wise, things are not looking good, we have a few absences."
