The new 2nd amateur league: These teams will face each other

On Thursday, the South Tyrolean regional association announced the district divisions in amateur football. The focus was particularly on the 2nd amateur league, which will take place in a completely new format this year.

From 3 to 2: That is the motto in the 2nd amateur league. In recent years it has always been usual for there to be three different groups, but in future there will only be two groups of 14 teams each. The South Tyrolean Football Association announced the division on Thursday.

The division was made - as in the 1st amateur league - into a Vinschgau and a Pustertal district, whereby the Vinschgau group can also count on teams from Unterland (Montan and relegated Aldein Petersberg) as well as three teams from Bolzano and the surrounding area (Jenesien, Ritten, Neugries).

Group A

  • Aldein Petersberg (relegated)
  • Algund
  • Castelbello Tschars
  • Cherms
  • Goldrain
  • times
  • mountain
  • mortar
  • Neugries (Newcomer)
  • Plaus (relegated)
  • ride
  • Jenesien
  • Schlanders
  • Sinich (Newcomer)

Group B

  • Sterzing (promoted)
  • Barbian Villanders
  • Stone house
  • Dietenheim Aufhofen
  • Gais
  • Guttersass
  • Clausen
  • Plose (relegated)
  • Rasen Antholz (relegated)
  • Reischach
  • Sexten
  • Steinegg
  • Taists
  • Feldthurns

The special thing about the championship: Not only the champions of the two groups, but also the second-placed teams in each group are promoted to the 1st Amateur League. The two third-placed teams play a play-off match if there is a free spot in the upper division. It is also certain that the two bottom teams in each group have to go to the 3rd Amateur League.
