Flick with “passion and dedication” at Barça

Hansi Flick feels really comfortable at FC Barcelona. He made this clear in his first major interview since taking office as the new coach of the traditional Spanish club just over a week ago.

"It's unbelievable what we're experiencing here. Everyone shows us respect," he said. He is enthusiastic about the club, the quality of the players and the youth development, the former national coach told the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca".

The 59-year-old, who was particularly successful with FC Bayern Munich, where he won the treble, also has wishes. "We need to get a player who can win games," he told the newspaper. Together with sporting director Deco, he wants to "increase the quality of the team and that is the most important thing." It is known that the heavily indebted FC Barcelona has two ambitious and multi-million dollar targets on the transfer market: Dani Olmo (26) from RB Leipzig and Nico Williams (22), currently under contract with Athletic Bilbao.

Flick is enthusiastic about everything and everyone

Flick is particularly enthusiastic about the people he is now working with. "From day one, I felt the passion of the people. The fans. Everyone," he said. Everyone who works at the club has this "passion for Barça and the dedication" to give the best for this club. That is also his demand of himself. "We want to give everything we have to take this club to the next level. We will do our best," he promised.
