Al-Hilal is apparently not impressed with Mbappè

The Saudi Arabian football club Al-Hilal has apparently been rejected with a record offer for star striker Kylian Mbappè.

Like the French sports newspaper The Team reported online, the 24-year-old declined talks with Al-Hilal representatives in Paris on Wednesday. The delegation was said to have hoped to be able to present their project to the 2018 world champion. Al-Hilal had previously apparently made an offer of 300 million euros to Mbappé's club Paris Saint-Germain and received permission to hold direct talks with the attacker.

Who The Team According to reports from those close to him, Mbappé never considered moving to Saudi Arabia. However, Al-Hilal had long been considered an interested party in Mbappé's poker game. The 24-year-old striker is actually under contract with PSG until next summer, but has stated that he does not want to extend his contract. Since then there has been speculation about a move during this transfer period.

The most expensive transfer in professional football to date was the move of the Brazilian Neymar from FC Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017. At that time the transfer fee was 222 million euros. Mbappé moved from AS Monaco to PSG in 2017 for 180 million euros.

Malcom instead of Mbappé

The Frenchman would like to fulfill his contract in Paris in order to be able to move on a free transfer in 2024. PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi strictly rejects this. The biggest prospect for Mbappé is Spain's record champions Real Madrid. There has already been speculation in some media about the striker's pre-contract with the Royals. According to media reports, Real has denied this.

Meanwhile, Al-Hilal have signed Neymar's compatriot Malcom. The 26-year-old Brazilian international is moving from Zenit St. Petersburg to Saudi Arabia. The club announced this on Twitter. The transfer fee should be around 60 million euros. Malcom, who moved to Russia from FC Barcelona in 2019, signed a contract until the summer of 2027. The contract signing took place at the exclusive Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris.
