Further speculation about Mbappé: Is there a threat of a season without action?

The football world continues to speculate about the future of France's top star Kylian Mbappé.

Now the Paris Saint-Germain striker is threatened with a complete season without playing if he does not extend his contract, which is valid until the summer of 2024, or is prepared to make a move during this transfer period. On Friday evening, PSG announced its squad for a promotional tour to Asia, in which the 24-year-old was missing - a further escalation in the transfer poker.

Mbappé would like to fulfill his contract in Paris in order to be able to move on a free transfer in 2024. PSG boss Nasser Al-Khelaifi strictly rejects this. The biggest prospect for Mbappé is Spain's record champions Real Madrid. There has already been speculation in some media about the striker's pre-contract with the Royals. According to media reports, Real has denied this.

Offered mega contract for ten years

In order to be able to retain its most important player for longer, PSG is said to have offered him a mega contract for ten years and one billion euros. The offer comes from the Emir of Qatar, the Spanish online portal “Defensa Central” reported on Saturday. PSG is owned by the Qatari investor group Qatar Sports Investments (QSI). There was initially no official statement from any of the parties involved.

Al-Hilal is another interested party. According to French broadcaster RMC, the Saudi club is ready to pay a transfer fee of 200 million euros. Mbappé could earn as much as 400 million euros if he signs a two-year contract with Al-Hilal. Another option could also be that Mbappé only spends a year in Saudi Arabia and then moves to a top European club.
