No Neymar buyers in Europe?

Football star Neymar, who is about to move to Saudi Arabia, has reportedly tried to continue his career at a top European club.

However, numerous top teams rejected the attacking player from Paris Saint-Germain, like the British portal The Independent reported on Monday. In addition to Manchester United, Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City, the 31-year-old is also said to have been offered to FC Bayern. None of the clubs mentioned wanted to cover the transfer fee and salary. According to the report, there was only interest in signing Neymar at FC Barcelona, where Neymar played from 2013 to 2017.

Spanish media had reported that Neymar, after hours of negotiations, was trying to get loaned out to FC Barcelona from his future club Al-Hilal for the next season. The Catalan club also tried for such an arrangement behind the scenes for months, but the Saudis ultimately rejected it, the newspaper Sport wrote. In addition, Barça coach Xavi Hernández was skeptical about the return of his former teammate, the newspaper reported AS.
